Why I Tutor?
I am passionate about tutoring because I think education can change people’s lives. It is a continuous learning process for both the student and myself. Education should be a lifetime endeavour, and by hopefully inspiring my students’ interest and excitement, I hope to foster a love of learning that extends past our tutoring sessions. My Teaching Style Once I have gauged the student’s confidence and topics to focus on, I think it is important to make sure the knowledge in the chosen subject is strong as questions in an exam are all about application. From there, I believe that practising past papers and exam-style questions are essential to test understanding. Each lesson is personalised around the student’s needs. I start and end the lesson by talking about what they learnt in school that week and discuss whether carrying on with the school’s curriculum is best and getting ahead, or if there is anything specific they want to revise for, e.g. if they have an upcoming topic test.
